This partnership is working to create core curriculum revisions at IPSI, including a new Bachelor of Science in Journalism focusing on international and democratic media, and to provide new learning opportunities for media and journalism students at both institutions. The partners will develop new curricula and key courses including: women and the media, new media, the role of media in building civil society, and journalism ethics. The partnership will develop innovative teaching techniques in media and journalism using online and distance education, and BGSU will work with IPSI to strengthen university and departmental administrative processes, to establish an internship program for IPSI students participating in an intensive communication workshop on women and the media, and to enhance existing computer labs and develop a plan for a new multimedia lab.
