Solving Sanitation Problems in Mexico
In Mexico, an HED-funded partnership is working with a group of Seri Indians to solve water and sanitation problems.
HED supports the worldwide development goals of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), primarily by coordinating the engagement of the higher education community to address development challenges.

We fulfill our goals through a number of activities:

  • Institutional Partnerships link U.S. colleges or universities with institutions of higher learning in developing nations. Partners work together to design and implement solutions to development challenges across the developing world.
  • Roundtable discussions engage the development community on a variety of development issues. These discussions, which are typically held at HED’s offices in Washington, D.C., bring new ideas to light and help disseminate critical information.
  • Publications highlight development news, report on conferences, list HED partnerships, and more.
