This partnership upgraded the level of instruction at Umgungundlovu Further Education and Training College (UFETC) to help make students more employable and to increase their options for continuing education at a tertiary level institution.  Through a series of workshops and site visits by both partners, and in collaboration with the National Business, UFETC established linkages with local business and industry in South Africa to help better prepare students for the workforce and help students secure jobs after completing a UFETC program.

UFETC also began implementing programs to enhance student writing and math skills and adapted a more integrated approach to student skills that included assessments, classroom support, and tutoring as well as increasing student access to libraries and computer laboratories.
