These three institutions teamed up to strengthen institutional capacity, support curriculum development, and improve teacher training in Ghana. The partners enhanced testing and “continuous assessment” expertise within the Ghana Education Service/Curriculum Research and Development Division (GES/CRDD). It established the University of Cape Coast and the University College of Education of Winneba as the primary institutional resources for CRDD.
The partners also prepared a proposal to revise and improve Ghana’s continuous assessment system for public schools - grades 1 through 9. The GES endorsed the proposal and recommended its practical application.
