Partners improved the strategic management capacity at Moi University, primarily in its natural resources and environmental programs. The linkage improved the competence and skills of senior management staff for more innovative teamwork, greater diversification and transparency of financial resources, inclusion of more women in management, and development of a strategic plan for the institution.

The partners completed a comprehensive needs assessment of Moi’s management and administrative systems in the departments of natural resources and environment.  A joint team of faculty from both universities conducted a 2-day workshop in strategic planning at Moi University, resulting in the training of 122 participants made up of deans, department chairs, unit directors, and administrative staff.  The outcome of the training was the drafting of the Moi University institutional strategic plan.
