Partners are collaborating to complete the final year of the Civic Education Partnership Initiative (CEPI) to develop a comprehensive portfolio of civic education modules to support the teaching and learning of civic values and skills in Morocco. Alongside previous partner Bowling Green University, the CEPI partnership developed a ninth grade curriculum on civic education and a supporting teacher education module, hosted a diversely-attended international conference in Marrakech entitled “Civic Attitudes in Practice,” and led policy trainings for Moroccan Ministry of Education officials through echanges with their U.S. counterparts in Washington. In this final year, partners are developing, implementing, and assessing a university course on civic education, disseminating the ninth grade classroom modules and supporting teacher education courses at regional workshops, and completing the ninth grade curriculum assessment.
