The Bilateral Civil Society Educational Partnership (BCSEP) program developed through this TIES partnership enhances civil societies in Mexico by developing the human, organizational, and knowledge capital required to strengthen the country’s not-for-profit sector. Fifteen Mexican students participated in exchanges at the University of Texas at Austin in Spring 2004 and Summer Institutes in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Additional conferences and activities supported curriculum development and research to strengthen Mexico’s civil societies through enhanced leadership and program development.
