This TIES partnership established the first trilateral Master of Business Administration (MBA) with North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) applicants. Students in this innovative program study one semester in each partner institution and then complete a semester internship with an organization or company with a NAFTA focus. Three cohorts of students from Mexico, the U.S. and Canada completed the program, which included five Mexican graduates. Partners established binational student counseling teams, collaborated in research, and created a small business development center (SBDC) at UAQ. It offered short-term training programs in the U.S. for 73 Mexican students and nine Mexican faculty members. More than 100 participated in in-country certificate courses.
