The partnership between WIU, UAQ and UTS is designed to increase rural prosperity for small-scale producers. The dynamic training programs are (1) providing learning opportunities for various constituencies, (2) strengthening support organizations and agencies, (3) fostering professional development, (4) preparing agribusiness students for careers in a global economy, (5) stimulating private and non-profit development, and (6) enhancing small-scale producers’ ability to penetrate global markets. The transfer of knowledge will be sustained by the students trained and will grow through their ability to meet the needs of their rural communities.
