Ann Perrelli joined Higher Education for Development (HED) as the Strategic Communications Manager in 2007 and is responsible for outreach initiatives. Ms. Perrelli has more than ten years of experience in international development, education, and communications.

Previously, Ms. Perrelli conducted outreach for USAID/Afghanistan, Peace Corps, and the education association Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In addition, she taught English to nonnative speakers in classrooms in the Middle East, Asia, and the United States for the United Arab Emirates University, the American University in Cairo, ECC/ELS in Seoul, Baltimore City Public Schools, and Baltimore City Community College. Most recently, she provided programmatic and grants management support to the U.S. Department of State’s Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) where she combined regional and program knowledge to support foreign assistance goals.

Ms. Perrelli earned a master’s degree in TEFL as a teaching fellow at the American University in Cairo and a bachelor’s degree in writing from Towson University. She enjoys photography, writing, and the arts.
