Stephanie Morris is HED’s director of communications, overseeing all communications activities at HED. She also serves as a liaison to U.S. Agency for International Development’s Offices, Missions and Bureaus and coordinates efforts among six higher education associations to promote opportunities for and accomplishments of higher education partnerships in international development.

Morris was assistant vice president at Widmeyer Communications, where she focused on a variety of external outreach and business development activities.  Additionally, she has experience in the field of entrepreneurship, having served as the Director of Communications for the National Women’s Business Council and for the Center for Women’s Business Research.  

Morris holds an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian and Eurasian Studies from Mount Holyoke College.
