Kellee Edmonds joined Higher Education for Development after having served eight years at the American Council on Education, first as assistant director, then associate director of public affairs. While at ACE, Edmonds’ communication strategies helped elevate the media profile of several of ACE’s key programs including the Center for Policy Analysis, the Center for Advancement of Racial and Ethnic Equity and the Center for International Initiatives.

Edmonds has more than 20 years of combined professional experience in the fields of broadcast journalism, media relations, and public affairs. She has worked in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Her previous posts include the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and Safe Kids USA (formerly the National SAFE KIDS Campaign).

Edmonds earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and her master’s degree in Public Communication from American University in Washington, DC.
