 Adriana Lacerda is HED’s Budget Officer. In this capacity, Adriana is responsible for HED’s budgets, partnership budgets, pipeline analysis, and other matters related to HED’s financial management.

Lacerda comes to HED from the American Council on Education (ACE) Grants and Contracts Office, where she was the Senior Federal Grants Administrator and performed functions of federal grants management, which involved extensive budget analysis and compliance with federal regulations. While at ACE, she created several systems to improve the monitoring and tracking of federal awards and federal funds. Lacerda has more than eight years’ experience in the field of grants and financial management. She has also worked at the Forum for Youth Investment and the World Resources Institute.

Adriana earned her bachelor’s in Law and Social Sciences from Universidade de Passo Fundo, in Brazil, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Management with a focus on Acquisitions and Supply Chain Management. She also holds a graduate certificate for Contracts and Procurement. A native Portuguese speaker, Lacerda is fluent in English and speaks basic Spanish.
