RFA Watch: Initiative for Conservation in the Andean Amazon
December 20, 2011
Contact: Manny Sánchez, Senior Program Specialist UPDATED May 22, 2012
Subject to the availability of U.S. government funds, HED anticipates issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) later this year for several new human and institutional capacity building higher education partnerships in the Andean Amazon region. The Initiative for Conservation in the Andean Amazon (ICAA) will build the capacity of higher education institutions in the region to support biodiversity conservation. This program is part of the larger Initiative for Conservation of the Andean Amazon, which is the flagship regional biodiversity conservation program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in South America.
The timing of the RFA is still to be determined. We invite you to check the HED website often for updates, or sign up to receive the latest communications from HED, including all RFA announcements as well as the bimonthly newsletter. Interested applicants are strongly urged not to contact USAID about this pending RFA.
This RFA was released on April 26, 2012. Please read the full text here.
