RFA Watch: Colombia-U.S. Human Rights Law School Partnership
February 3, 2012
Subject to the availability of U.S. government funds, HED anticipates issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) later this year for several new human and institutional capacity-building higher education partnerships in the field of human rights in Colombia.
The Colombia-U.S. Human Rights Law School Partnership will build the capacity of regional schools of law in Colombia to train a new generation of legal professionals, improve the access of vulnerable populations to legal services and strengthen the culture of respect for human rights in the legal educational system. This activity complements USAID/Colombia’s strategy to consolidate the rule of law in Colombia and improve respect for human rights.
The timing of the RFA is still to be determined. We invite you to check the HED website often for updates, or sign up to receive the latest communications from HED, including all RFA announcements as well as the bimonthly newsletter. Interested applicants are strongly urged not to contact USAID about this pending RFA.
